Joyous, this appears more vibrant than many color images I've seen, but perhaps that's the memory of me having been here once, on a sleigh, riding, no care in the world, the snow a blinding white. Delightful.
Undiluted fun, enjoyment, freedom of viewer and subjects, that is a moment to capture and share and you have succeeded. Capture the moment is what I learn from you. Seize the Day!
I know this is way after you posted it but I wanted to come back and comment on it. I love their expressions! Your exposure is perfect. Your composition works well w/the subject matter and the snow lines are great. Wonderful fun!
What a fun picture, I love the expressions on their faces and the way they are sitting. Too funny! I like the contrast between the white, white snow and their darker snowsuits. The boarder adds a nice touch.
Wow, I looked at your week 2 first and it was so wonderful, and now this one! I love it as well. I love the centered composition and you have captured the joy of the moment so well.
Great photo...definetly a keeper. Since I grew up in Wisconsin, I still root for GB, though the Patriots are now my team, I would have loved to have seen GB and the Pats in the Superbowl. Really nice details and tones in the photo. The centered composition works great here.
Thanks everyone! I didn't realize that being in this b/w challenge would bring on so many comments. This is great and they are all very positive. This shot was definitely meant to be a b/w. GBay colors are bright and the other girl had pink on. It would have been an eye sore. No special settings with the camera. Just shot in the late afternoon.
unfortunately, your girls have extremely bad taste in football teams...because of this, i am afraid I must give it a 1...
as a photo, if I can get around that GB insignia, I think you have done a great job of capturing the fun and joy of youth in a single snap - kudos!
Hahahah!!!! you are to funny! I am not happy about the Giants winning but being a female I can deal with it. hehe...
I am sure the Giants will have their defeat on Sunday. :-))
What a priceless photo! I love seeing the joy on their faces. And so much clarity in this photo! That is awesome that you captured so much detail in the snow without blowing anything out. What a fun picture!
This is just fun, so it's fits very well in this challenge. The faces are just wonderful, contrast is nice and there's still a lot of detail in the snow. Great photo!
Doubt there is a 'snapshot' in your family album? all works of art lol. Second snow shot I've commented on and another great exposure (is it the old stopping down 2?). Great B&W image and (of course) a fine composition - glad you managed to get out of the way, must have made it more difficult to shoot "just one mor..........doh!'
Girls: "We're having great fun in the snow, Mom! Wish you were he...., O, Hello, Mom! Won't you join us! We think you could enjoy the ride better if you nose wasn't on my belly!"
Mom: "I didn't know!"
Girls: "BTY,...Something about our luge technique doesn't seem quite right!"
LOL! Great fun! Excellent photo! What a great & fun Mommy! :)
Ohmygosh. . .the quality of this bw side challenged just stepped up a notch :) How awesome that you are here :)
What an incredible photo! I know they couldn't have planned how perfectly synchronized your back daughter's hands are with your front daughter's legs kicking up. The symmetry is so appealing. As is the great contrasts from the perfectly pure whites of the snow (without being blown out of course), and the grays and blacks. Not to mention the delightful smiles (are they twins? They look so much alike!)
