I stopped to take this as I was passing through a neighborhood in the city. There was no school that day, yet there were no children in the playground. As I walked around the playground, I began to wonder where all the children might be that day? My gut tells me that the child population isn't sliding - their just not sliding today.

Nicely composed. The background is a bit distracting.

Seems like a casual snapshot, i'm afraid.

The title is clever but the image is a little cluttered.

A little too straight on. Looks a bit snapshot-ish.

You could have gotten a better effect by using a different angle. Maybe a low angle. The background is distracting. Maybe a longer focal length and wide apperature setting to create a shallower depth of field.

Would perhaps have blurred out the background so that the eye is drawn more to the slide.

Less depth of field would remove the building in the background stealing our eye from the subject. I also think there needs to be a bit more space to the right, so my eye can land after going down the slide.

I find the background very distracting.
