I just can't resist! I've already won a ribbon with this museum and I just can take enough photos of it! This is a new perspective with a 90 degree rotation to make it look like slides. :-)

I adjusted curves for the sky separately. Some burning ans USM on the building then NI for the sky.

Voilą! Hope to make the top 10!! :-)

The beauty of simplicity in a snapshot. I really like the use of shades too. It's the first pic I see on this site, nice welcome.

03/15/2004 09:38:41 PM
Congrats on a well deserved ribbon! I new this photo would place when I first saw it. It really is amazing how a simple rotation could totally change the perspective of an image. Well done.

At first glance i thought it was a sculpture! Really interesting angle. Excellent composition, lighting and focus! Well deserved ribbon! Congrats!
03/15/2004 11:40:27 AM
Congrats. And "slides", in deed, is what I thought it was when it first started to open on my screen.

Excellent work! I love the detail you've captured here. DOF is right on. I'll be curious to see the equipment used (lens, settings) and post processing. Good luck! 9

A wonderful black and white. I love this shot. It what I call a perfect shot. It all ballanced, the lighting, shadowing, frameing. Great job!
03/13/2004 06:42:38 AM
Very intriguing image, I would like to have seen a figure or some sort of recognisable feature in the picture somewhere to give me an idea of scale.
Good composition and lighting
03/12/2004 04:42:02 PM
Beautiful! The structure itself is enhanced so much by the quality of light and the cloud in the sky provides a perfect backdrop. You've chosen the time of day so well. Composition, sweeping down from the top left to the lower right corner, is very strong. This is wonderful.
03/11/2004 09:00:26 PM
Very nice shot...b/w is great shadows and contrasts are well done...a fantastic shot
03/11/2004 07:33:06 PM
I'm not sure what this is, but, I bet it's not slides. Great lighting and POV. Good luck with it, I'll bet you're in the top 10.

This is a very interesting slice of the building and the similarity to curly slides is good...good clarity and focus, interesting shadows and textures

Awesome B&W treatment. Love the curves. By turning this image on its side you have created something very appealing and with the sky's darkening tone it's even better. The sahdows also add interest to the shot. By far one of my favourites for this challenge.
