 I was considering this one for the Jan FS but got something I liked even better yesterday, so up this one goes! I took it a couple of days ago around sunset. Parts of my neighbor's house tend to glow orange if the light is just right (it's actually a nice, subdued cream so it reflects well) and make a wonderful background. This is literally the last leaf left clinging to my Japanese Maple. I adore the texture and 3-dimensionality I got in the leaf, and the twigs leaning inward. Not cropped, BTW.

May have made entirely the wrong call with the FS entry, of course, but it's only my score I'm risking ;-)

fabulous abbstract feel to this image with great colors, and the boke, so pretty

Beautiful colours in the background!!! It would be perfect with more light on that leaf or it being a strong yellow. very pleasing as it is.

Pretty pastel tones in this. I like all the lines of the twigs and then that dried leaf with its fabulous twisted shape. Well seen.

There is something special about the last leaf. I like the bokeh in this shot too, as you mentioned.

I love the minimalist nature of the leaf against the abstract background. Our Japanese Maple lost its leaves ages ago. I think that it's probably just another plant that's succumbed to our poor gardening skills.

The orange glow is a great find for the last leaf since it is seemingly a bit lacking in color. Great DOF and focus.
