 Black velvet background.
One 150 W halogen floodlight with grid to limit the spread of light, to make more of a spot out of it.
Sepia in camera.
Crop, curves, sharpen.

Selfportrait. Prefocus on a chair.

Took approx. 30 shots to get the right pose, expression and body shaping through balance of light and shadow.

Really beautiful photography. However, it doesn't really make me wonder what is off screen. The man is obviously posed.

i like this shot a lot...it took me a while to tie it in to the challenge but I think I did it,,,the composition and cropping are great...the coloring and contrasts are well done...focus is good in the shadows of this...good luck
