This is so sad, Roz. It's a fabulous photo, but I feel bad gushing about the photo when the subject matter is so heart wrenching. Thanks for showing us this - hope it helps raise awareness.
We need to see sad because that's life for animals in captivity. I'm sure all zoos do the best they can to comfort their animals, but still...they are locked-up in jail.
This wonderful creature still tenderly holds her baby and I know she's not thinking this, but one gets an uneasy feeling she's wistfully wishing for freedom for her baby. Extra nice editing...looks like a painting Roz.
