Well I can't say I enjoyed this challenge, it was something I haven't tried before and probably won't again. It's not the kind of thing I like although here at least I like the colours.

I swear I can hear it ticking. Wow. So many comments on a fairly ordinary subject. Very professional and stock worthy for sho.

I like this. Interesting POV. Personally, I would have caught the minute hand at 12 or 13 minutes after, as well.

Great focus and concept.

this is unique in this challenge and beautifully shot. a little bit more DOF might be nice to get the center of the clock more in focus. also, i would have liked to see it show a wider range of time change.

Very nice shot, like the shalow dof and the texture of the clock face.

I like the depth of field here and the lighting. The shot doesn't have a lot of action, but it does have some time lapse. Well done and worth an 8.

I would possibly find this image interesting if there were more minute hands involved. Only 2? Did you run out of time to shoot?

I would have liked to see one more 'tick' in this I think. I like the angle and the lighting.

ursula: this isn't natural. it's man-made.

scalvert: yes but it is a man-made object that acts completely on Newtonian principles. It's natural.

GeneralE: yes but it acts in an arbitrary way decided by man. There's no natural reason why the day has to be divided twice into twelve.

frisca: so you're saying that God must be the clockmaker, and not Man?

GeneralE: um... I think so.

Pleasing color tones and the perspective gives this somewhat generic subject matter interest. Back to bump you up to 8.

Nice composition and nice subject. I like the antique feel of the colors, the DOF, and the crop.

I'm not sure if the grain was added at at the right time in the editing sequence, for such a field of depth. With the aged texture in the face of the clock, I wonder if the grain was even necessary? It seems sort as though my browser has only loaded the right side of the image, so my eyes keep drifting up to the upper left hand corner.

I like the idea, though.

Nice, gritty shot. I like the odd, closeup angle, too.
