I thought it would place higher. Very differnet take on the challenge and really cool idea. Congrats on making it to the next round of LoD! :)

I'm surprised by the comments on this. I was also disappointed with the creativity of the majority of entries, except for a few.. This one was one of the few. Anyone can take a picture of someone passing you by and then PSing them into a sequence. That interests me very little so I was quite happy when I saw your image. I commend you for thinking "outside" of the box.

Took me a sec....the lighting and color are really good, but that third face is.....bizarre...makes me laugh.

This has such an abstract feel to it. Almost like a three headed lion.

beautiful shot. i like the transition from one movement to another. very seamless.

how could this be assumed as a single natural sequence? it may and it may not..the only way to check is by seeing the sequence of originals.
I am glad you have not been DQd as others just because of the doubt (apparently you have not been asked for vaslidation either). Weird double standards here. Good Luck!!

Wow! Brilliant shot(s)! I had to do a double-take to absorb the image. Very effective use of "rule of thirds." So far my only 10

Interesting. It's almost as if it has 3 faces on one head.

It's just that personally I think this is not a great use of time lapse, and feels rather awkward to me.

Strewth. Having looked at this a couple of times before, and in addition given it more than the customary 2 seconds this time around, I can see that not only is this cleverly done and an original take on the challenge, it actually brings something to the majesty of the lion too. He's somehow even more terribly big and frightening with the three heads.

makes it look like a creepy two-headed lion.

Clever post processing but just not my cup of tea I'm afraid - its bordering on freaky!

Made me jump a bit! The results are good and high marks for that, the blending of exposures is spot on. I'm not sure the Lion, or this poise, was the best choice as far as appeal, looks like you created a new breed of 3 headed Lion that is unsettling to me. 8

Clear and well processed, just feels unnatural and freakish

frisca: well this is natural. even if you think that animals think, this animal is in a semi-conscious state. surely this is completely natural motion at this point.

scalvert: nothing attached to musculature is moving in a "natural" way. too many variables.

GeneralE: you can't even tell which way the head is moving.

ursula: it's a lion with three heads! not natural!

sher: that lion is so natural he scares me.

Heh, this is cool in that it looks like some sort of genetically mutated lion with three faces. Other than that I'm not sure what to make of it.

Ok. This is weird. Looks like an animal with abnormal growth. Should have caught him active - easy to say now. But hey,I'm no expert - just commenting.

Amaizing how real that looks...but looks more like a three headed lion than a time-lapse...

I don't know how other people feel but this one I find kind of scary. It's a lovely idea but to me looks like a three headed lion.

The triple headed lion is kind of eary, but otherwise it's a snapshot at the zoo. Good try, though.
