 This is the famous Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, Alberta. The elevation gain to get to this place is quite remarkable and the terrain is bleak, windy, cold and FREAKIN AMAZING!! There was a blizzard coming in from the top of the glacial valley which resulted in a whiteout 10 minutes after I took this shot. The sunset, the terrain, weather and mood made for a great photo. Though some may think it dark, I like the way it turned out. Enjoy.

this is an amazing place - I was there this summer when you could see more of the deep blue glacier. your leading lines and minimal color gives a sense of the expanse and the cold.
