This is a very pretty image and I gave it a 6. I might have given it a higher score in another challenge since it doesn't happen to speak to me of silence as much as many other entries. Since all inanimate objects, including flowers, are "silent" my feeling was, in challenge theme terms, that you could just as easily enter an image of a toaster or shoe (not that these might be so appealing visually).
In terms of the image itself, I really like the hints of green and purple in the longer, outer petals and the way that these outer petals have a slighly faded aspect compared with the central area. I also like the off-centre composition which I think is just right. |

| Very Very Nice. I do not think it really hits the Theme on the nail, Yes a Flower is silent but so is every other still life. A 10 in a Themed contest of Softness or Poetry in Nature, Had to deduct for this otherwise rated high |

| This is a beautiful shot, and I know flowers are quiet, but it really doesn't make much of an attempt at creatively meeting the challenge. |

| This is a stunning photograph. I wasn't sure how it fit into the challenge until "Mum's the Word" finally came to me. Very clever, I hope every one else gets it as well. |

| Flower shot #2 - i have yeat to hear a flowe make noise, but that does not mean it convey's silence in a picture. Perhaps you need to get out more, or have an imagination implant. Does not fit challenge. |

| Very pretty shot, dark on the left, though..other than that I'm not sure how this fits in here? I know flowers don't talk, but I was hoping for something more creative :-( ..I would hang this photo on my wall, though. |
