 This picture shows morning light entering Church of St. James (Skt. Ibs Kirke) in Roskilde, Denmark. The church dates from around 1100. This church has not had an active congregation since 1808, and has worn several hats since that time.

The repeating upright gate elements and corresponding shadows liven up an otherwise somber setting. Interesting mood, almost like something from the middle ages.
