It disturbs me to see that snake so close to the models nose. It almost looks like one is biting the other.

very flat light (i guess with a flash since there is a very strong 'flash' shadow on the wall behind).. i think if you were taking a picture of the snake. then perhaps keep it to that, the man there is rather distracting to your snake subject.

would this photo be able to convey silence without title? Flash will ruin a photo every time, this could be an interesting photo using a flood,lamp or sunlight and black/white. Border pulls eye out away from image area.

Too much light in the foreground casting a big drop shadow on the wall behind. Also, the reflection on the right side of the snake stands out too much. A smaller crop would have helped this shot.

A good photo of the snake by itself might have been better. Nothing against the guy, just that the image seems to have two subjects.

like the close up - to make this shot better for me, find an alternative light source that doesn't cast the shadows.
