 My wife standing on a ledge at Kerry Park. Shot through the sculpture there (treading on caba's ground) ;O)

It was pretty windy, and she was freeeeezing. We lucked out, and got there just before the clouds completely covered the needle. We setup for a different shot right after this, and got nothing but clouds.

Turned out exactly like i'd planned. :O)

pp:
convert from raw in LR with 2 different lighting exposures.
re-combined in CS3
crop
straighten
curves to brighten the needle structure
& darken the sculpture
levels, hue, selective color on statue, sky, umbrella, hand & jeans
sepia filter on statue
cloned out a bunch of rain drops on the statue
surface blur on sky, buildings, umbrella & raincoat
dodged the smoke stack
cloned out some very minor fringing (2px)
around the umbrella & raincoat
resize
usm
sfw

Wow. I voted this a 9 but did not think it would ribbon. My favorites don't always do well. Nice to see a unique perspective of the Needle. Good job and congrats!

really cool image, i love the framing and how the person a nd the tower are sharp, and all of the background blurred. The tower cos of umbrella, looks like a toy
