Thanks...

I didn't think this was great, but it is my first attempt at doing some sort of food shot. I was trying to do something different - and I s'pose I did, just not to any greatly appreciable degree. :)

I would have preferred if more of the subject was in focus.

Nice shot and a great idea. The only issue for me is the DOF is too shallow. It blurs out quickly and distracts from the photo.

Not sure about the dof in this one... seems like the whole piece should be in focus, but it DOES look Heavenly!

Mmm, looks like chocolate cheesecake. Definitely heavenly. I like the color palette ... that first bite in focus looks seriously appetizing!

good concept and set up - but the super shallow DOF makes the back of the cake a bit unappetising to me for some reason

my personal opinion is that the very shallow depth of field doesn't work in this case....I'd like to see this same picture with the entire plate in focus

Sweeet... but I think I would prefer it more sharp to the back.

I like what you were going for here - but my preference would be for a depth of field that covers the subject, the slice of dessert. The tip is in sharp focus, but I would like to see the focus extend to the decorative leaves.

Too much DOF for this mouth watering chocolate :) Also, I wish you wouldn't cut the corner of the plate :/

wish all of the cake was in focus. Love the composition.

Appetizing... Where do I get me one of these in a snowstorm?

I like the idea and your theme. However, the blur is a little distracting.

I know that the blur is on purpose, but.. it would have been better to get the entire cake in focus and blur the surrounding areas. Also, you might want to not cut off the edge of the plate. Ive learned this in the past... over all. I love the colors and the choice of photo. This is Heaven :)
