With this picture I wanted to push the realms of the advanced editing rules as far as I believed I could possibly go. (Boldly Go?) It said to take something mundane and turn it into something extraordinary, I hope I have done this. My original Idea way to have my camera Battery landing in is charger.. For obvious reasons and only having one battery I couldn’t do this. So the hunt for another mundane subject went on. Docking ink cartridges seemed like a natural progression.

It is all done from one original picture as stated in the rules.

I basically Erased most of the BG and carefully brushed around the four elements. Using the colour from the Orange ink tank clip to clone a Jet and then coping that jet to various other positions. Smudging and blurring various components for the look of movement. I also added a few stars by cloning dots from other areas.

Considering the amount of effort I put into this one it was no way near the reaction I thought it would get. Obviously too much Photo Shopping doesn't go down well.

I will know better next time :)

This is definately the most creative approach to this week's assignment, in my opinion. :) Great background and focus, and I especially like the focus blurs and the "laser fire". Good work.

This is the cleverest entry I have seen yet. The lettering on hte fron cartridge could be sharper, but this is very good. I hope you win.

This is great! I love how you took everyday ink jet cartridges and made them into spaceships. I would have cropped the left side more so the motion blur would come directly out of the side of the frame. 9

This is very odd. I think i would like it better without the blue cartridge. I would like to know how you got the smearing effect.
