This challenge was before my time here but this is a great shot with very good DOF. I like the icy cleanliness and the lighting - and I think you're entitled to find your corner of the world wherever you like!

Justine .. sorry I did not left a comment either. I gave it a 7. I liked the colors really a LOT and where the focus is as well. I could not relate it that much to your 'corner' though

Justine, sorry I didn't comment during the week, ran out of time. I gave this an 8. I thought it was wonderful. It reminds me of a shot I didn't submit, but should have when I entered my Dew shot. Good luck next time.

Hi all. I'm so proud most of you liked my shot.
I'll agree with the _rest_ of you that this isn't the state capital, or a famous bridge that screams where I live. It is abstract.
This is however a fir tree. In Oregon we live and breath fir, pine, evergreen-wood. That and it rains buckets. We are famous for our trees and our rain. My yard reflects that and this shot was taken in my front yard.
I would do it differently if I did it again. This was a learning lesson and I thank you all again.

Great macro. I like the way all the lines go one direction almost parallel. The water makes it seem that much brighter. Great job!

Beautiful shot; well lit and well composed, pleasing to the eye, but not high impact for me. lhall-8

I have no idea what this is, but it has strong artistic value. I've noticed that anything with water in it is usually well appreciated here.

Beautiful macro! The dew drops are beautiful, and the colors are striking. I don't quite see where it tells much about your "corner of the world," though...

for a minute, I thought it was grass. I see the baark more clearly now...and it's still as strikingly beautiful as the first time. You've earned a 10. Well done. crisa58

This is a pretty shot of wet grass, but I'm thinking, this person must be an ant if this is their 'corner of the world'.
