Thanks for the notes. Hmmm. I never thought of hanging. I just thought it was a surreal shot of legs on a cool background. Good work. |

Oh, I wish I had it in me to do another 30-day challenge so soon. This one seems AWESOME! I just get so worn out from them that I always need to take a break between them.
I think this photo is just so STRONG! INTENSE! It draws you in, and you want to imagine something very artsy and chic. |

Beautiful... The subtle texture works very well here with the subdued tones and captivating subject. |

Ha. The more macabre connotation hadn't occured to me either, Charlie...maybe because I read your comments and knew that these were your daughter's legs. I think that my initial reaction was that the image looked rather mysterious. I'm not sure how you could process it to look more like a young girl at the gym, but you might try a different orientation. If you flipped it either 90 or 180 degrees it would still retain some mystery, but wouldn't be interpreted as a hanging. :/ Or just keep it as is and let everyone interpret it as they will. |

yeah charlie .. i've just read wot you wrote in the thread .. i opened this last night but didnt comment coz i didnt know wot to say !!!!! .. it brought to mind someone hanging and not from the gym bars !! .. i didnt want to offend you so i said nothing ..
this image evoked a sort'v disturbing feeling in that the legs look like they belong to a child and yet it looks as if she's being hung .. the background just intensifies the feeling .. makes me think of those dreadful times when they'd burn the 'witches' .. times of terrible ignorance .. every time we live in has terrible ignorance, but different ... but wotever .. :) ..
anyway .. i think in answer to your question as to how to make it look like she's more at a gym than actually being hung .. i'v got no idea except maybe to overlay another photograph of her at the gym where you can see her in action so it links it up with this one .. ?? .. i'm sure other ppl would have better ideas tho .. :)x |

Interesting in a edgy disturbed way. Are you related to goodman? :/ |

Terrific. I think the more you layer sometimes, the better it gets - and this is a perfect example. When you have lots of neg. space, the textures can really bring depth to the shot. This is REALLY fabulous. |

This is quite creepy. I like how you removed the texture from the legs but the edges seem a tad soft. |
