Hi,
Thanks for all the nice comments. I know this picture wasn't really the perfect shot for texture, but I wanted to post it because I thought it fit abstractly and that it would be different from the norm. It's true that usually texture needs light, but I think this shot shows texture too, in a different way.

| Interesting choice for texture, great colors for the background. I feel that the silhoutte doesn't emphasize on the texture. |

| Love the color gradation in sky as a backdrop and plant's silhouette still shows texture well even in 2D. A different idea from "the usual". Nicely done. :) |

| Hard to show texture with a silhouette! This is only shape. Pretty color, though. This would score well under a more appropriate challenge. |

| I've written on another shot that silhouette is the antithesis of texture - and here you go and prove me wrong. This has some strength compositionally - triangles in the stalking of that plant lead the eye around nicely. The blurred background bush is a pity, especially against such a colourful sky - as soon as the attention goes from the silhouette, its lost. |
