Good lighting - combination of different temperatures is effective, and also helps to add shape to the subject. In terms of texture, there's more to hold the eye in the background than in the bone-carving itself.

I like how you get the feeling of the fibers in the wooden weaved background. Subtle shadows on the fibers really bring them out. The diagonal shapes helps to bring focus on the jewelry by pointing to them. The carved subject gives a feeling of polished smoothness. Very nice curved shape.
looks like you may have used a white and yellowish lighting. Seems to have a yellowish hue on the subject and takes away from the interest. Maybe retaking with a different lighting angle would give a better effect. "9"

The texture is here. The subject and composition lack interest to me.

I love the texture of the weaving which is nicely photographed. Ttoo many times during this competition, I have written, "wouldn't it be nice to have another shape or color to provide contrast?" Well you have done that and done it well. Very, very nice.

Composition seems just a bit static to me, but exposure and color is good.

Nice mixture of textures. The shadow bothers me a bit in the bottom left. 8

Very good composition, and clever: smooth subject, rough background (one of the few times I've seen a textured background really work. 8 for now, it might go higher.

Great combination of both smooth and rough textures. The image is composed in a pleasing manner and the colors don't scream at me. I like it!
