I like the composition and the contrast of colours. This looks like something you'd hang as a print.

Lovely colors.

Interesting capture. I think this would be improved by rotating slightly to the left so the center fence post is vertical and then recropping. The red border, while complimenting the colors, seems to emphasize the horizontal tilt. Maybe a white or grey border would work better. Great colors and composition.

I love the contrast in this, blue, red, white.. and the unpainted boards just have character.. one of my fav's

Unfortunately the most difficult color to photograph is the color red. Almost all digital cameras don't capture it like it looks in real life. Your composition is interesting in that it seems to contain different levels: the fence, the painter, the wall, and the sky. this makes for an interesting composition. Only suggestion is to level the way so that it lines up horizontal. Without the framing it may be more difficult to tell but with it the shot looks crooked.

Where is the texture? The picture is good, but IMHO it doesn't fit the challenge.

This is a WOW if I ignore the metal fence, lovely proportions and color, composition strong, excellent use of title (why oh why did some nut put that fence there??)

This was a good catch and good for the Challenge. Maybe it would be good to check different exposures. I wonder if a stop under exposed would also look good. Nevertheless, it's a good image and shows that you enjoyed finding it.

Cool concept. Would be better if you had gotten a more head on view, so there was no sloping on the top of the crate? Well done.

Yah, it works.

great shot - would like to see it in normal format (not square) and with a nice white border. But still super shooting

Having the crate line up with the top of the frame would improve the image. = if the camera position was more to the right & facing the container directly

I like the hat best. :) I wish the fence wasn't there, but probably couldn't be helped, and I guess does add to the texture element. Like having the person off-center.

:) I really like this shot. Unique to the max. Needs a bit more sky and the bottom trimmed a bit. Very kool shooting.

I like the colors you have used, and you have a lot of different textures in your picture. Many may feel that texture should be the subject of the photo, though.

The blend of colours, textures and overall composition do give this image the feel of a painting.
Good work

This shot has great colors and great lines.

Hate that red border - makes the red in the image look dull. Annoyed that the top of the crate isn't parallel with the fence or the frame. This approaches a fascinating composition though - something, beyond those two points, just disturbs it though. It may be as little as the location of the fence-pole, but there's an impression of the image being weighted very heavily to the left side, leaving a lack of interest to the right. Shows real signs of an appreciation of proper composition though, and would not need a whole heap changing to become good photography. 6

Great colors. And a subject, it's rare in this challenge.
Maybe i'd tryed to get the lines horizontal.

I love the texture from the crate, too bad the fence was in the way.

The person and shipping crate are an excellent subject and perfect for this challenge. I also like the composition of the person/ladder in the frame.

I realize that the fence introduces another version of texture to the image, but I feel interferes with the repeating "texture" of the shipping crate. I'm not entirely sure I like the red border on the image either, it seems just a bit bright for my tases, but that's just my opinion.

Interesting shot, I bet you think your going to get nailed for the fence. I like it the fence ads to the texture. (7)
