 Original image taken at Grandma's house. Overlayed with crackled paint and upped the saturation. Used dodge/burn, contrast, sharpen.

EDIT: In answer to some questions, the original image was very colorful (again I upped the saturation), and the "wild" colors in the corners & background were actually other flowers blurred out by the DOF. You can see the original flower image here:

This is phenomenal! It's absolutely beautiful. As I said on someone else's image yesterday: in this technique we usually see photos with muted tones, and it's fabulous to see ones with rich colors instead.

vivid is right !! .. a beautiful combination of images .. the colours are stunning and the shadow really thrusts that flower into the limelight .. :)
