Hehe, so apparently there was a fire somewhere that week judging from the ribbon winners :) Congrats on the ribbon!

Hearing about those horrible fires on the radio and T.V. don't prepare you for the reality of how ferocious and devastating those fires really are. This is fantastic photojournalism. . .THANK YOU!!

I was just in San Diego visiting from Australia the day the fires broke out...no it wasn't me!!! Valeriy , this is a dramatic image...well done on your ribbon

Great colors in the sky, the foreground could use either more exposure (for detail) or less exposure (for a silhouette) seems kind of in between to me.

Nice capture. Would work well as a image for a story on the fires. 640x428? Odd out-of-the-camera aspect ratio...

I think this is a great capture of my home town. Its so sad what has happened, and I believe that you have captured a very powerful image. I think it has great composition and nice colors. Nice work.
