 Fiat Lux- Let there be light. Beautiful morning, only God could create this scene.

Yosemite Natl Park. Classic Gates of the Valley view around 8:30 a.m. after a storm and fog started to clear out. El Cap on the left.

3stop Hard edge ND filter to hold the sky.
Processed RAW file a couple of times, mainly to darken the floating leaves in the foreground. Some dodge and burn, otherwise pretty standard processing.

stunning image, mark! but the previous poster has a point, you should try to lighten up mountains on the right and treetops on the left, then it will be just perfect.

it's a great shot. Your post-processing and masking is a little sloppy. Clean that up if you're looking to achieve perfection.

Congrats Mark. I love the foreground detail. Did you also try the lighter ND for the upper part? I found it a little bit too dark for the mountain part. I really love the light on the foreground. It looks so surreal. Thank you for sharing.

This was my fav of the whole Free Study. The lighting is spot on my friend and I am jealous you have Yosemite in "your" backyard. Congrats Mark on another awesome shot!!!
