this is katee and my daughter ali ... she loves her dog so much .. we were in the computer room and ali was telling me about her day and katee jumped on her lap .. i took a few photographs of them being incredibly cute .. then ali got down on the floor with katee ... at no time did she want her photograph taken .. and if i asked her to do something it was like pulling teeth .. she gave me about one minute of cooperation .. !!
my tamron lens is being a total buggar and when i get the best shot ever i cant take the photograph coz the shutter doesnt work .. its the lens not being able to focus .. it happens more when i use the flash which i used for this photograph .. it kept freezing and being busy so i wasnt able to get many shots in that precious minute .. !!
thanks sandy SandyP coz i downloaded that high key/more sketch action that you mentioned in one of your portrait photographs, and i tried it out on this ..

It's great how you captured them both looking at you - you can tell Ali loves her little dog!

This is really beautiful, Roz. It has an ethereal, otherworldly feel due to the high key treatment. What wonderful expressions on both of them.

LOVE the high-key treatment!! I love how Ali is half hidden behind Katee, really gives the feel of a candid snuggle captured. Looks great with the wide frame too, all around wonderful :-)

Wow - this is intense!! Brilliant shot, Roz. Love Ali's eye, how it pops and holds your attention. Katee is gorgeous, as always. Love the super high key treatment and the frame - just stunning!

Nice slice of life you caught here Roz. It really blows when your equipment doesn't perform as anticipated.

I don't know if you used the same high key action as I used recently, but I found that if there aren't too many highlights then less gets blown out after the action is applied. (This is just general information - not commentary on your photograph!)

Oh Roz!!! This is so amazing! As I read the first part of your description, I was thinking: Man, this is so MY kind of photo because I LOVE that high key look. Then I read where you were inspired for it by my photos :) I love that. And this is fabulous.

This photo really really touches me today, because I learned yesterday that a good friend who I hadn't heard from in a while lost his daughter and her dogs in an accident in the spring, and I have had my friend so MUCH on my heart since then. Seeing this somehow feels like a tribute to my thoughts for him :(

Loving the high contrast and touch of soft. It's not all posed and fake but natural with the fun editing twist. ;~D

Nice high key work Roz! They look so adorable snuggled like that.

My camera does that when I'm using my tamron 28-75 too, doesn't work at all when I've got the 90mm f2.8 on (throws an error message)
