| Definitely a multipurpose room - the dogs even seem slightly ill at ease. The unusual jumble works, though - makes you stop and wonder about it. |

you almost got it right :). But the actual names of these beautiful Russian wolfhounds (borzoi, in Russian) are Bala (after Balakirev) and Anya (presumably, after Anna Kerenina?). |

After his private holdings were seized by the state, the Grand Duke chose to retreat to a poor old farmhouse in the French alps where he eeked out a meagre existence with his two dogs, Hotaya and Psovoi, until his mysterious demise in 1989. An autopsy revealed that he had ingested several family diamonds on the eve of his 10th year in exile.

| Wonderful collection of stuff -- none of it seems to be related. I can look at this for a long time. The light on the white dog is fantastic. Nice processing, too. |

| Daddy was dragged away before he could put his other sneaker on. It never occurred to the agents that there might be dogs in the house, dogs depending on drug money, dogs depending on the failure of the rule of law just to survive. The agents have their suspect and their evidence. The house lies silent. The long day hints of its end, of the cold night to come. |
