| Too out of focus I'm afraid... Maybe use Macro mode if you have it, or bring your camera back a little? |

| This certainly meets the “texture” part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background. A little sharper would have helped as well. |

| Focus is off..really important for macros...hurts what could be a very good shot. |

| What *is* it??? I have no idea! I wish the image were sharper, but not so I can figure out what it is, just because it's too blurry. :) I would have cropped off the black in the corner, too! |

| Excellent idea and I like to monochromatic nature of it, but I 'd personally like to see a sharper focus in the foreground and the top right black spot is distracting. Good luck. |

| This might have worked, but I don't see anything in focus, and little variation in value. Perhaps if you stepped back and used a stronger light source? |

| This is interesting, it kind of looks like coral at the sea bottom. But is seems to be a little out of focus and the color is a bit dull. But it is fitting of the challenge. |

| Maybe in color? Being out of focus and b/w just does nothing for the shot, although I can see how it would fit the texture theme. |

| Lacks detail, and perhaps focus though that's difficult to tell with that lack of detail. Some sensation of texture though, so you'll gain a point or so there. |

why is there a black 'spot' in the upper right corner?
