Since both fore and background are white, there is really no sense of a shallow DOF. |

I like this photo a lot, but I can't really see how it fits this challenge. |

You've very nearly got it all in focus here! Cute little car, but neither is the shot incredibly on-brief, or engaging - although you have some nice detail.
Personally I think this shot would be improved with longer DOF since the shallowness does nothing to draw your eye to anything in particular and actually serves to frustratingly blur parts that you want to see. |

A brilliant shot of the car, especially with the hood up and door open. But the overall focus is too sharp for the challenge, which wants some parts of the photo to be out of focus (shallow DOF). |

Shallow DOF needs to have some reference points to compare to and this doesn't seem have any. The entire car seems to be (mostly) in focus. Some out of focus background or foreground elements would make this shot By itself the car doesn't seem to meet tha challenge. Not to say it isn't a nice shot of a model car...

Great shot, but doesn't represent a Shallow DOF without another object in front or back. |

decent enough product shot. don't really see the use of shallow DOF in this image however. |

This is a nice 'product' style photo. The lighting is excellent. The red contrasts nicely with your white background and surface. I think this photo would also do well with a slightly lower camera angle and maybe a slight rotation of the car to create some more diagonal punch in the frame. As for shallow depth of field, I don't see any. |
