 This is the moment that my son Charlie first met his new best friend Caly. She has been his dog since the moment they met, in spite of all the treats and long walks and new toys that we have tried to bribe her with...

Caly is now 4 1/5 and Charlie is now 13. I will try and get a shot of the two of them now to compare sometime later this month....

Airedales often start as black and tan but often the brown fur tends to overwhelm as they grow. She still has quite a bit of black on her back but it is all gone on her head and face.

This is a beautiful happy photo. I love it. Interesting about Caly's coat. Chev's coat did something similar - to the extent you wouldn't think he was the same dog, and his breeding is not anything like Caly's.

I think that a puppy may be the best gift that a young boy or girl can ever get. I like the emotion captured in this image. It's a "live is good" moment preserved.
