Create a feeling of letting go...

Doesn't this pic, when you see it makes you wanna say "it's so painful, let go!" ??

opposite of letting go methinks. and very painful. If i thought it was you in the picture i'd give you a ten for the permanent skin irritation. :)

Great colors. Love the blurred background of onlookers, but your title says it all...OUCH!

Wow, what a great shot to provoke emotion. Would have been better if subject was more in focus.

The background is way too blurred for me. Good, striking colors. Would have liked to see the expression on the man's face. But he doesn't seem to be *letting go*.

Wonderful photojournalism shot - the 'technical errors', the blurring and the exposure help enormously. The bead of sweat about to fall from his nose is a masterful touch to capture. The subject is perhaps the diametric opposite of the challenge title, but that would be churlish grounds on which to mark this down. I hope not too many people have.

The DOF really puts the focus on the main subject. The rich bright colors just make you like this photo. The one thing I think you did very well is your DOF and slight movement in the background and street area gives this that movement/action feeling. It brings the photo to life and the viewer feels the action. I hope this does well in the challenge...it's a great photo !

Effective use of panning, an extremely interesting subject, and vibrant balanced colors make this a very successful image.

Ouch is right -- here is a guy that SHOULD let go, alas, he doesn't -- so, where is the "letting go" in this submission?
