Intriguing....

Did you use a normal strobe light for this of a special light?

Cool idea and fun execution, but the composition seems to be lacking. Very static, straight on angle; rough background. Still a cool shot, but I think it could be worked on.

wow, great photo. I'd love to learn this technique. Pity the two bottom hammers were cut off. High marks nonetheless. 9

I like this. Very creative effective. Though it bothers me that I could look at this as if the model is hammering his shoulder. Painful. Still, lovely affect.

Well done! This works a treat. Ehhhh but why is the hammer facing the wrong way round for hammering? I take it that's part of the 'art' Deserves a top 10.

Why was the hammer going backward?

Cool shot, very well done...but why is the hammer backwards?

Nice effect, but why is the hammer reversed??? :)

I love this except for the face which burnt out in the process. I wonder what could be done to avoid that. Nice job tho

I like this photo. I was going to do one similar to it actually. I love doing strobe shots. Its hard to get them to come out just right. This one is good except for one tiny little detail... why is the subject swinging the hammer for a claw-side impact? As a photo though, its very good. 8

Great shot, might have worked better if it was only your arm in the shot though.

the black drop is distracting

Good effect, but perhaps the hammer should have been in it's normal operating position.

great idea...but why is the hammer backwards?

Unless you're hammering a nail in your back, you got the hammer head backwards.

Very neat shot... only thing I would suggest is to turn the hammer over... so its pointing down. Nice shot.

I like this. Would have been better if the hammer was turned around though.

So is this guy getting ready to chuck the hammer or whack himself in the shoulder :) Its a cool pic, I like shots like this.

not sure if i understand why the hammer is facing "backwards", if there's a reason - it doesn't bother me, just makes me curious.

Very cool, but err...... shouldn't you be holding the hammer the other way - unless of course yuo were rying to scratch your back.
But overall - i like the pic- and it looks good in monotone.

i liked it - until i saw the hammer was being held backwards.

good idea, pretty strong image, but why are you gripping the hammer backwards? It shouldn't detract from the image as much as it does (for me ) but since the image seems to be about the act of striking, why are you striking with the claw? or are you hitting youself with the hammer in your back and I'm seeing it backward. I gave it a 7 but it would have gone higher if not for this gripe.

Love the idea and all the execution except for the hammer being backwards in his hand and it going out of the frame slightly at right.

Would be so much better if the hammer was the right way around!! Background also has wrinkles that distract.
Appart from that not bad.

I would have liked this better if the face was out of the picture, and the focus more on the hand and hammer. Very cool idea and I like it in b/w.

You are not going to use a hammer in such a way, are you?

Would have looked better if his head stayed still and in focus.

Nice idea, but is the hammer being struck(or so that is what it appears to be diong) intential? Because it looks a little odd.
