You keep a nice chessboard like this in your garage?! Like the mood but scores less cos of dodgy garage connection :)

This is beautiful what is it doing in your garage?
It should be on display for all to see
The focus could be a little sharper
I love the colours in this The light at the top left is a little distracting
But very nice shot

Is that really in your garage? It should be in your living room's table!! Great shot. Nice use of lighting and interesting POV.

Why on earth would you put that away? That is a great set. And beautiful color blend.

In your garage?
I really do think you could've done better with this. It's a beautiful board but it doesn't come across the way you've composed this.
Lighting is horrid and the angle is uninteresting.
I can't even tell the difference between sides. They both look gold.
Try, try again...

Not too keen on the light behind the chessboard upper left. Depth of field could be improved. Hard to do a chessboard that isn't too cliche, but there's not much original in this picture. Wonder why you cropped off left hand corner.

This a very pretty shot, may be pushing the "garage art" theme a bit though. I do like the picture, especially the lighting. Good luck in the challenge! :)

sorry, but this is a real stretch for "garage" art...... A shiny new looking fancy chess set is not something typically found in a garage.

Why doesn't everyone just take a flower or dog photo and say it was in their garage?

Sorry, but other than the title there is nothing about this that says "garage" to me.

I like the coloring in this shot. You sure have prettier things in your garage than I had in mine! Something about the kind of glare of light in the upper left I find to be distracting and I'm not crazy about the amount of dark on the right. Still, a nice subject to shoot. I do like the shadows of the pieces on the left being on the board. Good luck in the challenge.

Well, I doubt you has an old chessborad in your garage! :) But chessborads is not a typical garage stuff, then this not meet the challenge. Sorry :(

As far as the picture goes, I think it is great. You did a great job with lighting and composition. HOWEVER, I don't think that it captures the theme of "garage art" - even though that is where you keep this lovely chess board.

This is a nice shot. The light flare on the left hand side is a bit distracting and the pieces on the left in the back that are reflecting a lot of the lighting. Maybe a different positioning of the lighting or exposure would have helped.
