This is great, and would be useful posted in the current thread where people are talking about low and high key images. Beautiful.

Oh boy, I can see how this didn't score higher. I love it's simplicity. The texture and the quiet tones tell the story. Lovely. I would buy a print of this. I think my dad would love it.

As for meeting the challenge, this challenge seems almost like it could have been an free study. One can find far more unlikely things in a garage than an old hat.

When the day is done and I still can't really think about garage art? Sorry - don't see the link but since it's maybe just me the shot still gets a good score for its beauty.

Almost a low-key camoflage shot! The texture in this shot really stands out, and the black/grey is a nice strong color too. Placement of the hat is good, and of course the fact that it blends so well with the background seems to be the whole point of the shot! It's different, and I like it!

Very good picture and wonderful texture. This would have done much better in another challenge as I am not sure what the correlation to the garage is. Don't get me wrong thought I really like it.

the hat's texture blends in with the ground. interesting, yet i feel it is missing something. very mid toned.

I don't see how this fits in the theme.

im confused :s

This is stunning photography, but I don't see the connection to garage art. Can you explain?

Beautiful shot, but 'typically found in a grage'? It may of course be found in yours, but it's hardly a typical garage item.

Garage Art?
02/04/2004 01:10:44 PM
Garage art, right?

Nice shot, I like the way the grain moves from the carpet/flooring to the felt of the hat, but how does this tie into the challenge?

I´m trying to understand how it can be related with garages. A hat... typically used in the field? Well, I cant´t understand.

This is a WOW. Love black on black, textures, simplicity of composition...
I'm not sure this meets totally the challenge theme, but what a photo !
