convert from RAW, crop, convert to B&W, play with values, usm.

This was taken at a farmer's market where he was cooking barbeque and producing a great aromatic cloud of smoke that weas going into a nearby park.

The juxtaposition of him on his cell phone, obviously frustrated about something and all that smoke/brimstone really intriqued me.

I thought and thought of a title for the image and finally came up with the lame one of "Where's the Beef" because a good title just wouldn't come.

This looks cinematic--lots of hints at a story I can't quite figure out. For me the title suggests that there is something important missing. This looks complete to me. And beautifully done!

Remarkable photo, but I really don't have any idea what it has to do with the title (can be my bad english). Can you give a clue? My first thought was a mineworker, but a WW2 film was also a nice suggestion.

I like the steam/smoke, it really adds atmosphere to the shot. I am perplexed by the mass in the upper RH part of the frame. This shot is perfect for a b&w, good start.

I really like the high contrast feel to this one, very strong, and also I like the feeling of the mysterious I feel in this image as well.....

It looks like something from a WWII film, a big gun thing and a soldier in silhouette, surrounded by sandbags and camoflauge. Then I read the caption and thought....doh, silly me!! At any rate I love the contrast and the lighting, really has a dramatic effect...fab!

I can't work out what this is? I keep coming back but no idea. lol It looks great except for the top RH side there is something there that looks kinda out of place. Well done.

This is such a great silhouette. There is enough detail to not make it look flat and yet, there are still areas that beg you too keep looking! The steam adds such a great dramatic effect. Nicely timed. Well done!
