ok, it's a saturday morning. don't dq me!

step 1: crop a little maybe. just a little.
step 2: shadow-highlights to bring out these backlit guys
step 3: channel mixer to black and white, but only at 20%. it flattens the colors a little bit.

Great title! I like how muted the colors are, it's just like what you would see peering up at them in the glare of the sun. Is that rope the guy on the right is holding the "net"? Not much of one, I think. :)

perhaps you were punished for the horrendous pun?

a nice image, i like the harsh contrast, it works very well. wonderful echoing lines, repeating and meeting throughout.

I find that score to be incredibly low. Even without the title, I easily get the impression that they are working on a roof. What I find funny is that it looks like the two on the right might be tethered together. So if one falls, at least he doesn't fall alone lol. I'm also curious about what they are putting on the roof. Interesting photo that should have scored higher.

Didn't get a chance to vote this challenge but am completely not understanding the score at all. Not that score is a biggie, but I'm a bit baffled. Meets the challenge quite well, love the composition (nice little "v" that Jayson note) and I happen to have a thing for backlighting so I'm big on that part too. Nice job bringing out just enough details in the guys, and I like the subdued color trick. I've done that a bit lately as well (though by different means.) Nice where appropriate, and in this case, it's appropriate. But I think I will submit you for a DQ for lying in the title....

Looks like sticky fun. I like the nice little "v" you created.

Fits the challenge, but doesn't grab me when viewed. Sky is blown out and has somewhat blown the shot as some detail is lost on this side of the gentlemen. Good luck

Not bad but still, you get no sense of perspective from this photograph, maybe had you taken it to show how far up they were it would have appealed more to me.

Weird roofing material, well for here anyway. Its a pretty dark image probably due to the harsh sunlight.

Nice capture - Like the candid mood here - Maybe seeing how high they were could have added some drama.

Good idea but I feel teh sky is so bright it distracts from the subjects.

The exposure it out, and the highlight is clipped. The level is out too. Got to improve on the post process.

Bump the exposure down a stop or two or hit the highlights/shadows in PS to add more pop to this. I do like the comp.

Since the sky is already blown out, a little more detail in the shadowed areas of the workers faces would be nice. This would make for an interesting high-key study.

Nice triangles formed by the three guys and the roof lines. Looks underexposed, though.

Seems like an unoriginal entry.
