This is too much! You are awesome Judy! I really look forward to seeing what you do...
I don't know about canon, but I really love my 50mm for Nikon, plus something with a little more range... but things like 70-200s will require you to sell your soul, and probably a kidney as well! |

excellent that you've got a new camera .. for ppl with a serious addiction to photography a new camera or lens is an incredible blast ...
both the lenses i have i totally love ..
my Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II for Canon i got with my canon 400D ... its been the best lens .. my gripe with it is that i often get a grainy image and its not an excellent lens having a fairly ordinary glass ...
i got the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro after pro-ing and con-ing for ages and ages .. the fact that my tamron was having problems was the spur i needed to finally get the canon 100mm which is an excellent lens .. check out the pics other ppl take with it .. very clean and sharp .. of course being a fixed lens it can be extremely limiting if you havent got anything else, which was the situation with me for two months when the tamron was being fixed ..
when i got the tamron back last week it was a total blast and i really appreciated the positives of it that i hadnt before .. like the 18-200mm ... EXCELLENT .. wide angle which i love and the 200mm zoom .. of course when you zoom 200mm the pic quality does suffer ..
i'm sure other ppl will have some great recommendations on which lens to get .. these things arent cheap .. i was very luck to be able to try out the canon 100mm macro when i met up with owen at one of our gtg's .. buying without trying something so expensive and so IMPORTANT!!! would suck if it turned out to be not wot you really wanted .. :)
GOOD LUCK .. start a thread .. altho you probably have already !! :)
yep .. just checked !!!!! |
