Isabelle in the pool, pool's
underwater light

she submerged in deep end, then I hung over the edge as she surfaced, we are going to work on this one some more. I think it'd be a great metaphor for birth if I can get it right.

I think this has a lot of potential. I'm not sure it works as is, at least not for me. I think my problem is that I can't tell what I'm seeing without the title. Maybe try it with the surface of the water sharp and let the water blur her out? I'd also try cropping the right side in almost to her. The bright white blob in the upper left feels unbalanced by the blankness on the right and her in the middle.

Nice shot Anne. You had me laughing my big ol butt off with the offer to cure my old kids gone blues.
How about Auntie Jeanne visit in VT so she can hand off again????? Or maybe the boys (OK, now men) get married and make me a gramma?!

She looks happy in there. I would be if I were her. The blur works well on this one.

The expression on her face is beautiful and works so well with the softness of the image.

This is just great...I love the flowing motion and dreamlike sense of freedom. :)

I love the look on her face. It is so serene and peaceful. The water and blurred composition enhance that even more. That's why I think you have a great idea with the birth metaphor.

Keep trying with this, I'd love to see more attempts - this one already has a palpable sensory effect.

Wonderful photo. It's great that she is smiling, otherwise it might look like she's drowning. The BW treatment is fantastic.

I always think it's cool when the bubbles come out of your nose. (I grew up a swimming coach's daughter, so that's one of the first thing to teach kids to do so they don't get water in their nose) - ok, swim lesson's over. ;~D
