this is the firetrail where i walk ..
was shooting for good depth of field with f22 & tripod & the shutter speed was quite slow .. i wondered wot would happen if i changed the focus during the actual exposure .. this is the result .. its only the first time i've done it and i'm not that happy with the result ..

re Skyarcher's comment .. he's perfectly right, you cant zoom with my lens .. i should'v said that i changed the focus, A LOT !! .. :)

I want to come and visit this outlandish, chaotic space, this place where light dances inward as if drawn toward a black hole, only to playfully spill back out to be captured in your image. Wonderful.

This is trippy... makes me wonder who is running away, and what are they running away from! ;)

Not sure with the 100mm that you can actually zoom, I know you can focus/unfocus, but it is not a zoomn lens. However, the effect that you achieved is still close and pretty cool. I may be wrong about the zoom though. :D

Very trippy - zoomed exposures can be really cool. I think you might have better success with the focus (if you want it, you don't really need it) if you try the zoom technique on a smaller subject or something more clearly defined than a somewhat riotous stand of trees. I tried it on a clock once and focused on the clock face, and I got a lot more clarity on the numbers and hands, as well as the zoom blur effect.

This is very pretty and storybookish, I'm going to have to try this.

if the lighting wasn't so nice, this would be scary, as though someone were being chased through the woods..a nightmare thought for me (too many Stephen Kind novels, I guess)

Cool effect, that's one I want to try also.

This reminds me of animation or a cartoon of some kind...in a good way. Love the colors and patterns of shapes.

Woah - makes me dizzy, or reminds me of the good ol' days... if you know what I mean... :o) Fabulous effect, Roz - the colors are sweet, too. Now do it with Katee materializing through the vortex in the middle. OXOX

The woods look dark and deep, miles to go before I sleep. Lovely.

Funny how this almost looks like a pastel. Even though it's blurred, I know exactly what it is. Kind of story book like.
