 Completely dark room, only had a small fine light torch. Traced the torch light over the length of the lace for 20 seconds. Then a further 2minutes with torch light diffused. Cropped it and removed a couple of spots on the base of the boot, sharpened and levels.

Greetings from the CC, a wonderful shot, the black bachground helps the viewer to focus their attn on the lighted area, I like that you only did one shoe, again forcing us to notice the detail here. The composition of the second shoe is well done, making for a relaxed posture supporting the 'old' title. The lighting too is very well done, it is soft yet not dark, no details are obscured by dark. My only small criticism (being that I am suppose to critique : )) would be the choice generally of 'boots' generally a non-emotional subject matter, I think in this challenge it works because it keeps the focus on the 'light' but I think it is always important consider the actual appeal and emotional impact potential of a subject. Again here I think a subtle subject helps viewer to focus, but just a thought.

Can't believe this didn't make the top ten!? A great shot that met the challenge perfectly in my humble opinion. One to be proud of.

This is very interesting effect. How did you do that? I love the tiny shining sparkles radiating from some portions of the laces. The second boot is a nice touch. The border is good with this image. Well done.

Oh! I like this so much. The spirit of the challenge is definitely met and with a clear shot. The left section (right upper eyelet) of the shoe laces needed to be fininshed off to put this over the top though.

Another of the few "painting with light" entries. This has worked so well
It would definately have had a 10 if you had not got the shaky hand but I can imagine how hard it must have been.
Definately one of my favourites in this section.

fun! Must have been hard to hold your hand steady enough to trace the laces. The light works well to illuminate the boots too.

COuld have done without the shoelace being recolored....kinda sloppy. Otherwise, nice pic.
