I really liked this one because it was one of the better images at coveying emotion, nicely done, should have placed higher in my opion!

The grain effect is overdone, in my opinion. Good contrast.

Moving--B&W with heavy grain add to the effect.

Grainness adds a feeling of drama however to obtain extereme lets see eddie breaking the bottle over a picture of whatever is upsetting him

Decisions, decisions, guess he opted out on the razor blade. I like the grain, the posture, and the tatoos, this would have been my favorite of the numerous suicide images if there just weren't so many objects. I would have voted up a point if there was just a bottle of booze, it's cap, and pill bottle on the left and it's cap.

While this does convey emotion and the photo is well taken, it lacks originality. I'd suggest spending more time exploring different ways to convey a meaning.

B&W and grainy look work well here. Lack of detail on overexposed elements are a bit distracting, but still an interesting image to watch.

I like everything about the shot except the sharpness. I think sharpening it this much kills the look you are after.

I am enjoying the shot very much.

People never like it when I use grain but I still do from time to time. Nice job and hey, it's ok, tomorrow is another day!

I love grain. Hope you are not being killed for it though. I especially like how the bottle came out. Very good.

Excellent use of image grain. Maybe a bit too much paraphernalia here - I think just one bottle of spilled pills and the bottle would have been enough (who bothers with using a shot glass when they're that depressed?) but you still captured the emotion very well.

Excellent shot; Eddie likes to party and its all out on the table; I love the tattoo stereotype; its a good acting job; its gritty but not too believeable. A bit contrived- when this is all over, clone out everything but the bottle and ther shotglass; a drinking problem is enough to convey- the other stuff looks staged.
but hell- you meet the challenge quite well here, and that counts for a whole hell of a lot since most people should not have entered.

I was going to do a shot like this, but I wussed out and went to the still life challenge. The noise does add some character, and it is showing emotion, the lighting is nice as well, 9.

I like the concept of this shot. It portrays the desperation. The only criticsm I have is that it seems blown out in portions....as though there was too much contrast and brightening, so noise was added in an attempt to cover it up. That may not at all be the case but, it appears that way to me. I do like the concept behind it though. Are you taking a beating on these points? Hope not!

I like the noise you added, it makes Eddie look that much more on the verge!
