My wife found this in Belmont, N.J. We do not know what it is. It measures 2 3/4 inches from top to bottom and 3 inches wide. You are seeing about 1 3/4 inches in width. I thought perhaps someone could identify it. Now, I do not recall ever receiving 25 comments on an image that scored so low! Wish you would have given these comments to a more worthy entry. All the same, I thank you for taking the time.

This image has a subject but could use some sharpness and a tighter crop. That's the beauty of Macro Photography to me... being able to see textures that ordinarily unnoticed.

Looks like the sphenoid bone from something, but not human. Very interesting in knowing what it is though, feel free to private message me with the answer.

A bone? The crisp focus and dark background really make this both interesting and sort of creepy. Well done!
