This is tougher than it looks. Sure turtles are slow, but they tend to tuck everything in when you get near, so you can't tell front from back.

I just did levels/curves on this. I masked the turtle and did different levels/curves. Then I sharpened only the turtle using the mask.

I quite liked this little guy. Really liked the ripples and the bit 'o greenery that looks like he picked up along the way. (I have no problem seeing him, by the way.)

I love turtles! I think that a lower point of view may really help this image...the gravel is a bit distracting.

The reflection of the water makes the turtle more difficult to distinguish, I think.
