a stunning photograph and an awesome process rudy ... that green in the sky is a master stroke ...
bummer about the dq .. i was extremely happy when i got my first dq, coz it was bombing out, and when you get a dq, if you're not an amazing photographer like you, then the image and your portfolio gets viewed a lot more .. i doubt a dq would be a good thing for you tho, coz having ribboned this would'v got heaps of views anyway ... not to worry, you ribbon so much its like a very minor setback !! .. say hi to yourself for me ..!! .. :):) |

What an absolute bummer to see this image DQ'd. I was ever so impressed by the simplicity of the image, the lighting, the wonderful use of negative space, and the overall feeling of serenity projected by this photo.
The image may have been DQ'd, but it is still a winner in my books... something I would proudly hang on my walls.

Very evocative - I didn't see where you're from, but it looks like America, though the hat seems more like an edwardian English hat, so I feel kind of lost geographically.
I had a flashback to the '60's, where a track from Acker Bilk was played, with a pix of his bowler hat put on a hanger of a photo of Ilkley moor, and it just seemed like it somehow.
So, very evocative to me. I really like the subtle tones in the landscape, and it seems a well deserved Yellow - hope for more later |

My favorite so far. I love the feel of the photo. With the hat folded up like that I can almost feel the wind blowing. 10 |

I think I might like this better as either a sepia, or a B&W with the hat left in color. |
