Last minute entry, taken literally 11:59pm, fortunately there is a 4 hour time zone difference so I had at least a little time selecting the shot and editing. However, I have a strong feeling I am going to see something about this shot or another shot in the morning wich I wish I had done in editing or chosen another photo, I think this editing needed me to sleep on it, if you catch my drift.

The guy in the photo is Darri, heīs a pretty cool guy and was more than up for strolling around with me in a creepy cemetary around midnight. The shot is lit with two flashes from a 580ex Canon speedlight. First he was up in the tree and I shot one burst of the flash, then he jumped down and crouched on the ground and I fired the flash again. I know this isnīt the best result with double exposures like this but itīs a first time for me and I learned something new during this photoshoot so I donīt really care how this will score, have a feeling I am going to wake up to a 5.2 with this shot, I like this shot though but donīt expect many of you to do the same. It was also a problem that it was too bright outside even though we were out around midnight, am going to do this again in the winter and see how that plays out.

Incidentally, the cross in the upper left corner is the same one as in this photo but taken from the other side.

Editing was not so much as much as you would think though, wanted a similar look as my april free study photo. First, a little dodge/burn to make out the "double Darriīs" better, curves for both the green/blue coloring and contrast. Added vignetting and finally a little clone to take out a flower and patch up a small hole in the foliage above. Also used the sponge tool set to desaturate to take out a little bit of the saturation around the crouching Darri.

Darri was also my "portrait a week" for week 22 that we shot in the same photosession, check out the link below if you want to see it.

This shot it absolutely beautiful. I love the processing. This would be a great shot to hang on the wall on halloween.

hell, I gave you a 7. I liked it, pretty much for the reasons levyj describes...

Too processed for my taste, to the point I can barely find your other subject.

Intriguing and well thought out. I'm not a huge fan of the processing but it does suit this well.

Excellent use of the rules. I had to do a double take before I spotted tree guy.
Well done

I think this pic could have done with more contrast IMHO

The first time I saw this, I didn't see the guy in the tree. I come back, and yes, I'm creeped out, lol! I liked the processing a lot, which is why I came back. I was just so drawn to the guy on the ground. Anyway, nicely done.

processing ruins this one.

Interesting idea, but the second image is kind of lost in the trees due to the heavy processing, though perhaps that's how you intended it to give it a more ghostly feel. Might have been better if the subject wasn't posing for or looking at the camera.

clever idea but I'm afraid the noise here will hurt you. 7

Creepy, kinda. Great technique and the processing really matches the style of photo.

Woah! Took me a few seconds to see the dude in the tree! The editing fits the mood real well. Some will say it's too dark though.

I do not like the processing of this photo. Looks like it could have been good without it

Nice capture - Scary image. Lots of PP which I don't mind.Great location. If any thing the figures get a little lost in the fussy background.
