"He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains."

Psalm 104:10 NIV

I have been to this place before, have shot this same shot time and time again. For some reason this month, I came back to look at this place and shoot yet again.

I think a part of me wanted to see how much damage occurred here during last November's heavy rains and floods. Those heavy rains really played havoc, and many of the trails I really enjoy visiting, won’t be accessible for a couple of years, if ever again. God plays in an amazing way in these mountains.

Another part of me just likes being here. It is so quiet, and this time of year, the fir trees give off an amazing scent that always reminds me of warm syrup.

Both reasons for coming here again were fruitful I suppose in that, I found this place still exists and wasn't damaged all that much, and no matter my resolve, I still love coming here in the quiet, away from the noise of sea level, and able to smell that wonderful aroma.

At times in the past, the water going over this small river pool really takes away from this place, like it owns it somehow. However, the snow melt this year is slow, even though the higher mountains are still fairly heavy with snow, and this time, the stream allowed the surrounding nature in this wonderful place to take the center stage. I am always in awe of places like this, and I feel so fortunate to be able to live here.

Praying as always this does well.

Beautiful place, and it is so nice that you enjoy and respect the area so much. You seem to like shooting landscapes, and you do it well. This would make a very nice vertical if you had a wide enough lens to get to the tops of the trees behind the falls.
Well done.

Very nice. It just seems, by looking at the waterfall detail, that it's been a little too processed.

very peaceful scene - i would have liked it a little more without the blown out white in the falls and maybe a littel sharper focus on the rocks but it is still very good

This is a good image but I think you should have cropped in a little closer so we could see much more detail. As far as the colors, they are outstanding. I like the highlights and shadows.

I like the POV of this shot. IMO, It is a bit over saturated in the green channel.
