i'm wondering how ppl will find the lines of the barbed wire fence and if they think this is image is a bit unbalanced ... i'm not sure ...

later .. i'm sure now .. and yes it is unbalanced ... could have something to do with the photographer!!

I like the barbed wire with the diagonals, I like the blurred background too, almost makes it tell a story of barriers to distant fields, unfortunately the grass kinda breaks that though. NIce idea, and nice conversion with good range of tones.

I like the barbed wire and the grasses. More DOF to get rid of the stuff behind it might help.

roz- i think you have a great concept here - the wispyness of the grass and the harshness of the barbed wire, but for me the DOF is too shallow and not enough is sharply in focus - if both the grass and wire was sharp in focus - i would like this much more.

Ooooh, I really like the barbed wire running thru the scene AND the beautiful whispy grasses. You can feel the movement in this static shot--great effect.
