I LOVE cows!! I think they have such gentle souls! And I love cow photos. . .but I have to admit, every time I see a good cow-photo-op, I think of Jutilda. She is the Queen of cows and cow photos. She has a connection with them like no other.

So, Judy. ..this one's for you :) He's cute, huh???

Is this why we shouldn't mess with Texas? lol

The contrasts and detail on the animal are awesome! The face you captured - I just love his expression. It says to me "bring it on" lol. Too bad that branch is there on the left - I don't like that it crosses behind his horn. Lol but I know - who's gonna mess with that when he is giving you the look? Excellent pic!

Wow, Sandy! The tones and contrasts on that longhorn is very dramatic and the fur/hair contrasts really pop out and visually jump at you in the B&W presentation. Details are wonderfully sharp. Love that sparkle in this bull's eye's and the I can't crow enough about how how dramatic the contrast on it's light & dark fur looks stunningly good in B&W.

Michael wants to buy a bunch of land and raise longhorns so we could get an agricultural tax break :P I shouldn't have shown him this great shot of yours, but I did.

He doesn't look so friendly. Hope he didn't come charging after you for taking his picture with out asking him permission, hahaha. He has great color and with your contrast where it is, it really makes him stand out perfectly.

this is really a great shot; the compositon, contrast & clarity are superb! guess I can't say "color" in B&W eh? (Hey! is that like the 4C's of diamond buying?) teehee

anyway, Judy might be the Queen of cows (what a title!:) but you're the definite 1st runner up with this shot!

Simply MOOvelous, dahling!

OK...OK, so great minds think alike as we both posted cow pics, but there the similarity ends...Your cow is mightily more impressive than mine and so is your finished product

Love the contrast between the black of the cows upper body, the white band and the darkness of its legs, great dof on this as well. Only slight thing is there seems to be something going on with its eyes and there are two white spots in them (the one on the right my just be an optical illusion and the spot may infact be a minute piece of white on its flank that is showing. Not sure about the one on the left though

Sandy, I just love this! The horns and the branches reflect each other - and of course having the cow straight on is awesome. Beautiful tones, too.
