Normally, sheep are very shy and don't really want people to come near them. But these sheep that were grazing on a hillside next to our cabin in Estes Park seemed to be peerfectly content to share the hillside with me. If they heard noise from my feet crinkling up the ground beneath me, they would look up like this and watch me for a minute, then go right back to their grazing. I really love bighorn sheep -- I just wish I could have captured them in better light. This is way too midday and harsh to get the kind of wildlife photos I was hoping for :(

But I love that middle one's teeth showing. I got several pictures, and she is showing her teeth like that in every one :)

This is adorable!! Wonderful comp, great crispness, and simply delightful with that smile. You must have something completely killer saved up for FS if you posted this in a side challenge!

This is just beautiful, Sandy. So kind of them to arrange themselves so picturesquely, wasn't it?

Maybe she just used some Crest white strips and wants to show them off! :) Beautifully photographed even if it's mid-day.

She's smiling at you! I think they were wondering when you'd come over and share the grub! LOL! Fantastic focus, you must have been pretty close.

What an amazing trio. In a cartoon, they would suddenly break out in song. I love their eyes. They have such an all-knowing kindness.
