 Taken on a soapstone plate in natural light. I had to move from window to window while taking this. I wanted the edge to have a glowing appearance but wasn't able to pull it off exactly as I visualized it. Dust spots removed, dup layer screen mode, levels, merge, color shift over to more red, bumped the saturation up and some dodging and burning on the highlights. Crop and save.
I decided to leave the scratches and defects in to add to the character.

I'm not real sure what I'm looking at. This needs some point of reference. Is it tile? A beach of some sort? I don't know and am confused.

Beautiful curves produced by the liquid (water?). Great contrasting of colors really help this shot interesting. The reflection in the edge of the water has strong presence. It almost looks a bit like fire near the bottom right corner. Highlights and shadows on the surfac that the water is sitting on is very nice.
