I used a 120W floodlight clipped to the stand of a halogen torchiere lamp (also on). I put the camera on a tripod, plugged its output into the TV so I could see what it was seeing. I positioned myself in front of the camera. Then I used the remote to snap the picture. A little darkening and contrast and cropped out distractions in front of the face. The darker subject made the switch stand out as well. I figured that the untrimmed beard, eyebrow and ear would make it a bit more Neanderthal, and effective. Denture paste (not mine) held the switch in place.

Shame it's not true (I mean you men are not this simple at all), otherwise I love the idea, it made me laugh! :-) B&W works well here, I like the switch being the whitest on the photo, it leads my eye to your main subject. Maybe a bit tight crop on the left.

Technically this is very nice work. But the aesthetics are not. All that hair in and on the ear is a turn off.

Great idea, like the concept and the the BW is spot on....I'm just wondering what position the switch is on, it appears to be in neutral, neither on nor off?. the position of the switch might have been placed so that it does not look so cramped but that's about it. Like it much.

I like the thought and the photo but your image-editing skills could use a little improvement. For me the on/off switch is a little too bright. I might have erased more of it just showing the last inner part and colored it more to match the mans skin color. That switch really detracts from the picture as a whole the way it is presently. Great idea though.

Great capture - very nice exposure and detai, with a bit of the highlights lost on the switch. Simple? Not sure..
