I walked to work today to get this. It's a tumble weed, I think.. It was very energetic and kept trying to get away because it wasn't rooted. Hope this doesn't do too poorly.I used a film of mineral oil on a cheap filter for the soft focus. I like how the sun made everything glow.

This is an interesting abstract. It almost looks like micro organisms under a microscope. The lighting on the weed(s) is good, giving it a nice halo effect. The light also gives it a good soft look/feel too. I'm tempted to say it needs a little more contrast, but I think you'd lose the layering if you did that. The overall image seems a little overexposed, but it's good for an abstract.

Great lighting and composition, but the DOF is a bit too narrow. I find it a bit taxing focally.

Had you expanded the DOF then the pattern from the fronds would have been more eye-catching and exploitative of the beautiful sunlight.

I love the feel to this shot, difficult to tell if it truely classes as soft focus with the display size but inspired lighting.

Pretty shot, great light. They look frosted in that light...? Very nice crop, color and light. Challenge met.
